Rambo Sculpture Available

The ad above appears in the August 2008 issue of Previews which goes out to comic and specialty shops throughout the USA.

I'm especially proud of this piece since the original sculpture first appeared on the StalloneZone. I was then contacted by Hollywood Collectibles and asked if I could put them in touch with Edhino, the artist who created the piece. I did and the rest is history.

If you're interested in getting one for yourself, get your order in soon! - Craig

SZoner, PJK sent in photos of the custom made Cobra statue that he created. It never ceases to surprise me, the amount of talented Stallone fans that we have at the StalloneZone!

PJK even created a custom made Cobra base for the statue.

Rambo's Back & HCG Has Him!

In March of this year I posted about a Brasilian sculptor and a Stallone fan named Edinho. Edinho had sent in photos of a Rambo sculpture that he did that was simply amazing. You can see for yourself by clicking HERE.

Shortly after the post appeared I was contacted by
Mark at Hollywood Collectibles Group. Mark felt the sculpture was good enough for them to produce. I put Mark in contact with Edinho and the rest as they say, is history.

I'm happy to report that the
Hollywood Collectibles Group will be producing a limited edition run of 500 pieces of Edinho's sculpture. I'm also happy to report that Mark is working on a deal for SZoners to get a discount on purchases through the SZ! More news on the statue will be posted as it becomes available!

Congrats to both
Mark and Edinho for making it happen! - Craig

Sly Fan Art

Craig,

This portrait is an oil on canvas, 48" x 48". It was motivated by my seeing an interview with Sly on TV, in which he lamented the fact that people only related him to his screen action personna, and he mentioned things about himself that most fans are unaware of, so.....I decided to create an image of him surrounded by those things that are important to his life, specifically: he's a writer and there are actual pages from the first Rocky script as a collage; books emphasizing that he is an avid reader of important literature; the easel, an artist; and of course, his action persona images. I am incidentally a custom oil portraitist who likes to change gears occasionally.

UK Fan Art

Jon McKenzie wrote in to say:

Hello,

Just checked out your site (StalloneZone). Very well laid out and interesting to read through. Added to my favourites. Well done on all the work you've put into it, best fan site I've come across.

I've been a big fan of Stallone and his films ever since I was a kid and thought that the new Rambo movie was probably his best bar Rocky 1.

I also noticed you have fan work on your site and thought you might like a look at some of the work I've done previously on Stallone.

There is more of my work on my site www.jonmckenzieart.co.uk

I look forward to hearing from you and would really appreciate some feedback on the work.

Thank you.

...And Lookin' the Way You Do.

Bill Pruitt sent in the photo of his latest Stallone painting above and this message:

Hi Craig,

Here is a new painting I just completed. It's my first one from "First Blood". I am very pleased with how it turned out. This is a pivotal scene in the movie. It's exactly the moment that sets up the whole movie. He is making the decision right there to get in the car with Teasle. After that, of course, is pure classic Sly action. The title of this piece is "Wearing that flag on your jacket and lookin' the way you do......"
